Hewlett-Packard Co is demonstrating Macintosh-compatible products for its HP 95LX palmtop personal computer at this week’s MacWorld Expo in Boston: the products were developed through the company’s Handheld Product Development Programme, which offers independent software and hardware developers the technical and marketing support to expand the capabilities of the HP 95LX and include DataViz Inc’s MacLinkPlus for the HP 95LX, a System 7-compatible product that enables users to back up, transfer and translate files between the HP 95LX and the Mac using the included cable and software; Ex-Machina Inc’s Notify!, an events-based software package that enables Macintosh mail systems, reminder utilities and network-management programs to send messages to the HP 95LX; and On Technology Inc’s Meeting Maker, a Macintosh network application that enables users to plan, schedule and confirm meetings via the computer.
