Beaverton, Oregon-based Consumer Technology Northwest has a new computer- to-television adaptor called Presenter Mac/PC Multisync that enables users to display Macintosh and iAPX-86 personal computer-generated images on US standard televisions or to record presentations directly to VCR video cassette. The adaptor works with Macintosh RGB and multisync monitors in addition to VGA monitors. The product includes Electronic Marker, software that enables users to highlight computer-generated presentations as they would overhead transparencies. It features Clear Image, a circuitry design that produces clearer text using a composite video signal. As a full frame buffer, Presenter Mac/PC Multisync accepts multiple scan rate frequencies used by several Apple Computer Inc RGB monitors and digitises an image a frame at a time to produce enhanced text quality. The product also enables users to mirror a Macintosh multisync monitor, so users view both their monitor and the television screen simultaneously. The product supports Apple Macintosh RGB 12, 13, and 14 monitors in mirror modes as well as Macintosh video modes 512 by 384 and 640 by 480. The Presenter Mac/PC Multisync includes a hardware adaptor, iAPX-86 personal computer and Macintosh video fonts and Electronic Marker software for both Macintosh and Windows, composite and S-Video cables, VGA and Macintosh cables, and a power supply. The adaptor device fits easily into a briefcase or computer carrying case, and the entire package weighs under 4 lbs. The Presenter Mac/PC Multisync is out now for $475. Users can upgrade from previous Presenter Plus versions for $250.
