Logitek Plc has acquired the hardware maintenance division of Tetra Ltd for a maximum of UKP1m, of which UKP800,000 is payable up front, and the remainder is due when Focalpoint’s fixed and trading assets have been evaluated. The Maidenhead, Berkshire-based company maintains a range of equipment including IBM and Compaq, but over 50% of its portfolio is Altos Computer Systems kit. Logitek claims to be the UK’s leading distributor of Altos computers, and 70% of the machinery maintained by LTSS, Logitek’s wholly-owned technical services division, is Altos-based. Focalpoint is to be integrated into LTSS, and Logitek says that it will retain the 15-strong workforce that comes with it.
