Lenovo has released new desktop PCs ThinkCentre M90 and M90p that feature new 2010 Intel Core vPro family of processors and enhanced security and manageability features.

According to Lenovo, the new desktops feature Intel Core i5 and i7 processors with Intel Turbo Boost and Intel Hyper-Threading technologies. These include up to 42% of post-consumer recycled content and its power manager energy management tool mitigates the power consumed. In addition, they support the new version of secure managed client 2.0, a remote storage-based offering, and help IT managers protect networked M90p desktops throughout their PC fleet.

The new desktops boot-up in 35 seconds and shutdown in 9.6 seconds and supports multi-touch capabilities. Its hardware password manager combined with the Intel Trusted Platform Module provides hardware and software security for added data protection, the company said.

Dilip Bhatia, executive director of ThinkCentre marketing at Lenovo, said: “The new ThinkCentre M90 and M90p are not only designed to help large businesses lower costs in PC management, but are equipped with the latest technologies to foster stronger productivity, ensure better security and allow IT managers to more efficiently manage large global fleets.”

The new M90 and M90p desktops will be available starting in February in tower, small form factor and ultra small form factors. Models of the ThinkCentre M90 desktop start at $779 and models of the ThinkCentre M90p desktop start at $899.
