Intergraph Ltd, the UK subsidiary of the Huntsville, Alabama-based developer and vendor of computer-aided design software and hardware, is set to provide Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Ltd with UKP200,000 worth of parametric solid modelling software from its EMS3 suite. Rolls-Royce will use the software for bodyshell and car engine design. The Swindon, Wiltshire-based company plans to uses Intergraph MicroStation CAD software for electrical wiring and its Product Data Management software to manage information gathered during the development phase of a product. Intergraph Numerical Control manufacturing Software is being taken on to help maximise shop floor manufacturing efficiency, says the firm.
