Infor has launched a wave of products targeting hotel management, public utilities and chemical manufacturers.
In a series of announcements the software vendor updated its Hospitality Management Solution (HMS) and its Infor Public Sector Suite (IPS), and also made available the Implementation Accelerator for Chemicals.
The launches will further extend Infor’s capabilities around industry-specific products, with the releases coming as the vendor continues to orient itself towards verticals.
"We have continued to expand the global footprint of Infor HMS by consistently addressing the industry-specific challenges experienced by hotels and casinos around the world with new functionality in every release," said Stewart Applbaum, SVP and GM at Infor Hospitality.
"Technology plays a critical role in a hospitality organization’s ability to mitigate rising costs while simultaneously providing the best possible services to guests."
Among the enhancements to HMS, hospitality customers will now be able to manage hotels through a mobile app and lease apartments through a new module.
Meanwhile improvement to the firm’s public utility offering include an updated user interface, tweaked asset tracking and expanded mobility options, further moving Infor towards the mobile enterprise market.
"As budgets and resources continue to tighten within the public sector, organisations rely upon new technologies to help more efficiently manage their employees and promote improved services for citizens," said Kevin Curry, senior vice president, Infor.
"With IPS 8.4, we are able to provide a strong suite of applications that help these organisations increase productivity in day-to-day tasks such as managing service requests, reviewing work orders and repairing public utilities."
Lastly, Implementation Accelerator for Chemicals will work with Infor M3, an enterprise resource planning tool for manufacturers, in an effort to reduce process times at chemical companies.
