Huawei bolsters ICT portfolio at CeBIT 2015

Four new products and solutions hit the market.

By Alexander Sword

Huawei has announced four new products and solutions at CeBIT 2015.

Huawei executives introduced the 2015 eLTE broadband trunking system, the Agile WAN solution, the OceanStor 9000 and a new anti-DDoS solution.

The first solution to be announced was the eLTE Broadband Trunking Solution, which uses 4G technology to support voice trunking, data, and video in one network; this enables dispatching visualisation. The system supports more frequency bands, including trunking communications in the 3.5 GHz frequency.

In addition, Huawei launched its Agile WAN solution. This integrates WAN SDN, Internet protocol (IP) hard-pipe technology, atom routers, high throughput and eSight mobile, targeting enterprises.

The event also saw the launch of the OceanStor 9000, a scale-out storage solution, which targets the broadcasting industry. It aims to tackle performance bottlenecks, reduce operating expenditure and tackling overtime processing requirements through its unique eTurbo communications protocol. Huawei claims the solution decreases machine room space by 200 percent and energy consumption by 32 percent.

The Next Generation Anti-DDoS Solution, meanwhile, aims to use big data technology to build traffic models in more than 60 dimensions to prevent DDoS attacks without interrupting legitimate service requests.

"The four major innovative ICT technologies, which include mobile broadband, software-defined networking (SDN), cloud computing and big data, are reshaping all traditional industries," said Ryan Ding, Executive Director and President of Products & Solutions, Huawei.
