Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Intel partner on global IoT labs

News: Locations include US, Singapore and Grenoble.

By CBR Staff Writer

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has partnered with Intel to offer open solutions for the Internet of Things (IoT).

The move will allow enterprises to rapidly gain insights and create value from the amount of data collected from devices and sensors.

HPE and Intel will set up three IoT solution labs globally to help customers speed up their deployment of IoT apps.

The labs will be situated in HPE facilities in Houston, Texas, Grenoble, France and Singapore.

The companies will deliver new products by integrating HPE’s IoT solutions and IT leadership with the Intel IoT Platform and product portfolio.

The new systems will feature Intel Core i5 and Intel Atom processors. They are designed to sit outside of the traditional data centre.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise Servers senior vice president and general manager Alain Andreoli said: "With Intel, we will deliver new IoT solutions for data analytics and control at the edge of the network, empowering customers to quickly make informed decisions and drive business outcomes."
