In its efforts to popularise neural networks, Hecht-Nielsen Neurocomputers Inc, San Diego has brought out ExploreNet, a run time neural networking package for MS-DOS micros that enables users to download trained and customised neural nets written on the company’s own Anza and Anza-plus co-processors and run them on the micro. ExploreNet can execute all 17 of Hecht-Nielsen’s neural network paradigms and is fully compatible with the Neurosoft software used in the Anza coprocessors. It costs $1,000 when you buy the Anza hardware board, and site licences are offered. It has also come out with Axon, a neu ral network description language designed for customising Anza net works. It will sell for $1,000.
