Extreme camera manufacturer GoPro has revealed it will launch its first unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) named Karma in H1 2016.

The company has made the announcement on YouTube with a 1:01 long video showing how footage will look like when recorded from Karma.

In the clip, GoPro said: "Take a moment to look around you; take a moment to recognise the magic that surrounds us every day. (…) Life is a dream. Now, what if you could move freely through this dream? Go wherever you want, experience it from any perspective. What if you could fly? That would be magic."

The company has not disclosed more details about the drone.

The first reports that GoPro was developing a drone date back to November 2014. Several of its cameras are already used in drones from different companies such as 3D Robotics.

The global UAV drones market is expected to reach $5.59 Billion by 2020, and it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 32.22% between 2015 and 2020, according to Markets and Markets.
