Google has launched the ninth version of Chrome after fixing nine bugs in the browser software.
The upgraded browser features several novelties such as Chrome Instant. It is an extension of Google Instant functionality across the entire browser.
The other new browser feature is support for WebGL, which is the OpenGL-derived standard for in-browser 3D hardware acceleration.
Chrome 9.0.597.84 integrates Chrome Web Store access into the browser.
It also patches nine bugs, one of which was deemed "critical" by the company.
The critical bug, reportedly a "race condition in audio handling", allows hackers burrow out of the Chrome sandbox.
The sandbox bug patching comes before next month’s fifth annual Pwn2Own hacking contest in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Chrome 9 can be downloaded for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux from Google’s website.
