Fujitsu Ltd has expanded its Message 90s System Concept, first announced in May last year, to include links with a wide range of other company’s products, including Windows 3.0, the Macintosh, IBM Corp mainframe hosts and Unix machines. The company claims that its Solution List now covers 70% of a customer’s total information processing system styles. As well as linking with Fujitsu products such as the DS/90 7000 series, Microsoft Windows 3.0 running on its FMR line of personal computers, local networks running LAN Manager and NetWare V3.11J, and its G-series and K-series proprietary office and workstation hardware, links are now possible with DB2 running on IBM systems, Adabas5 running on the M-series mainframes, and Apple Computer Inc Macintosh connected to IFOS-Lite, Fujitsu’s personal computer office processing software. Under the Message 90s system, Fujitsu can provide a configuration and monthly rental service to fit the requirements of the user.
