Fujitsu Ltd has established a store-front known as the Fujitsu FM LAN Plaza as part of a promotional effort for its personal computer local area networks and support business: the showroom has 16 personal computers, including five from other manufacturers, connected via Fujitsu’s DSLink local network, which is based on ISO 8802-3; the number of different personal computers will be increased to 50 over the next few months and both OS/2 LAN Manager and NetWare 386 V3.1J can be demonstrated as network operating systems; one of the aims of the Plaza is to provide a test environment for verification of software and hardware by third party software houses and dealers; the new location will also house consulting services and educational seminars.
