Fujitsu Ltd’s deal with Systems Center Inc – also involving Fujitsu Kobe Engineering – for the support of the Net/Master Network Control Language in Fujitsu’s COMS-1 integrated network management software is intended to mean that customers will be able to manage integrated Fujitsu and IBM networks and that packaged software available for COMS-1 will be supported by the Network Control Language, while applications developed under COMS-1 will be available for use with Net/Master, providing Net/Master control of Fujitsu hardware such as the fault-tolerant Sure System 2000, Compact A series, K series office processors and Fujitsu’s network transmission equipment; COMS-1 is positioned as the network management system under the Mission/DC Fujitsu management server domain; as well as the plan for support for Network Control Langauge in COMS-1, Fujitsu already has integrated management using COMS-1 supporting open systems interconnection and Unix SNMP nets.
