Accenture has been selected as one of the prime contractors eligible to compete for services as part of the FBI IT Supplies and Support Services contract that has a $30bn ceiling.
The indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract has a one-year base contracting period plus seven additional one-year options.
Accenture is qualified to compete for work in four of five contracting areas under the contract: hardware, software and related services; operations and maintenance; technical and development; and other which includes briefings, process improvements, training and other duties as the FBI determines.
The contract is open to all FBI organisations and other US Department of Justice (DOJ) agencies that seek to acquire IT services and supplies.
Under the contract, Accenture is eligible to provide the FBI and other DOJ agencies with advanced analytics to support intelligence-led policing and investigation; process innovation via Accenture’s Law Enforcement Center of Excellence; multi-modal biometrics and large-scale identification offerings; and financial, supply chain and human resources offerings.
Accenture public safety practice managing director Jim Stolarski said the services they plan to deliver under the contract are aligned with the FBI’s goals of identifying and eliminating redundancies and making the bureau more agile and accountable.
