Application Delivery Networking firm F5 Networks has extended its portfolio of physical and virtual applications by introducing new VIPRION applications, including the 4480 chassis and 4300 performance blade.

The new hardware applications will help service providers and enterprises to address the increasing traffic levels and demand for enhanced services.

F5’S new VIPRION products include 40 Gbps Ethernet support for an application and services delivery platform, 80 Gbps of SSL throughput, 320 Gbps of L4 throughput, 160 Gbps of L7 throughput and 80 Gbps of hardware compression for application acceleration.

Customers can now increase processing power by adding another performance blade, optimise applications and consolidate infrastructures to meet the needs of their users while maintaining budget, said the company.

The context-aware intelligence of F5 new products will enable organisations to monitor, manage and modify services based on network and user conditions.

The company also protects organisations against massive, multilayered and blended attacks through an ICSA-certified firewall that integrates L3-L7 security services.
