Enterprise business software provider Epicor Software, has reported total revenue of $109.2m for the second quarter of 2010, an increase of 9% compared to $100.4m for the same period last year.
The company’s gross profit for the second quarter was $50.5m, as compared to $48.2m for the same period last year. Operating expenses were $1.7m, a decrease compared to $3.8m for the same period last year.
For the second quarter of 2010, the company posted net loss of $1m or $0.02 loss per diluted share, as compared to net loss of $6.7m, or $0.11 loss per diluted share in the 2009 second quarter.
Revenue from License fees was $19.2m, up 9% when compared to Q2 2009. Maintenance revenue remanied flat at $47.5m, while consulting revenue and, hardware and other revenue grew 7% and 132% to $34.3m and $8.2m respectively.
George Klaus, chairman, president and CEO of Epicor, said: "The 2010 second quarter was another solid quarter for Epicor with all revenue lines and non-GAAP1 net income growing over the 2009 second quarter. The momentum we are seeing behind Epicor 9 continues and helped drive software license revenue growth of more than 9% over the second quarter of 2009 and free cash flow2 of $11.2m.
"Our consulting arm is doing an excellent job with implementations and we now have more than 200 customers running theirbusinesses on Epicor 9, with more than 140 others scheduled to go live throughout the balance of the year."
Epicor expects its third quarter total revenue to be between $106 to $108m, with non-GAAP earnings per diluted share for the 2010 third quarter expected to be $0.13 to $0.15.
