Dell has unveiled new Studio XPS 7100 PC, which features AMD Phenom II X6 six-core processor with AMD Turbo Core technology, as well as available quad-core Athlon II processors.
With six-core processor power starting at $699, the Studio XPS 7100 offers multitasking performance and features a tilt-back design in premium Carbide Silver colour, the company said.
According to Dell, the new Studio XPS 7100 includes features such as oversized 460-watt power supply to support future expansion and hardware upgrades including AMD 125W class CPUs and 225W class graphics; up to 16GB of fast DDR3 dual-channel memory; and up to 3TB of hard drive storage;
In addition, the new PC includes premium integrated ports including, eSATA, Optical SPDIF and HDMI for more digital connections; and, integrated 19-in-one media card reader and support for SATA 6Gb/s hard drives for high speed disk transfer of HD media.
Dell also announced region-specific systems with VISION Technology from AMD. The Dell Inspiron M301z, a lightweight and thin laptop featuring 13.3-inch widescreen display, up to an AMD Turion II Neo K625 II low-voltage processor is expected to be available in the coming weeks in Europe, Japan and China.
In addition, the new Dell Inspiron M501R, which is expected to be available later this summer in Europe and the US, features AMD Phenom II Quad-Core processor with integrated ATi Mobility Radeon graphics or offers optional ATi Mobility Radeon discrete graphics for an even better visual experience.
