Dell is looking to bolster its position in the enterprise cybersecurity market as it launched its Data Protection and Endpoint Security Suite on Tuesday.
Adopters of the package will have access to threat protection, authentication and data encryption from a single management console, with the service being compatible with both Dell and other systems, and also offered as an integrated feature of Dell commercial devices.
Brett Hansen, executive director of end user computing software and mobility at Dell, said: "Every business needs to protect their company data, and this has become more challenging in a world where external threats and compliance requirements are on the rise.
"At Dell, we listened to customer feedback and developed a solution that makes it easier for all businesses, even those with smaller and less specialised IT teams, to protect their workforce devices and generate compliance reports to help prove that sensitive data remains secure."
Customers of the service will be allowed to remotely manage endpoint security, deploying the technology through a virtual appliance manager and controlling authentication away from the device.
Dell added that a range of encryption would be supported, including Microsoft BitLocker and Self-Encrypting Drive (SED) management, and Dell exclusive Hardware Crypto Accelerator.
