Datashield, the disaster recovery arm of Thorn EMI Datasolve, and Paris-based Sogeris SA, have announced an agreement to back-up each other’s disaster recovery facilities, and they are currently building telecommunication links between their respective recovery sites; Sogeris has two sites at Rungis, including a 4,000 square feet cold site; existing hardware comprises a 3090-200E, and a 3083, soon to be upgraded to a 3090-200S and then a 3090-300S sometime in 1991; Datashield has an 8,000 square feet hot site facil-ity in Hayes, Middlesex that provides 135Gb on its 3090-200E and 4341/12, to be upgraded to a 4381/P13; it is directly linked to a 5,000 square foot cold site.
