According to Datacard, its EMV branch based issuance solution includes the software, hardware and professional services needed to implement secure EMV compliant smart card programs at bank locations.
The platform is based on the new Datacard Affina One Step issuance software configuration, which was designed in a modular fashion to protect issuers’ investments as their smart card programs grow. Since cardholder data stays in-house, issuers maintain full control over the security of their data.
The Datacard EMV based branch issuance solution dramatically reduces the cost and complexity of branch-based smart card issuance, said Neil Crocker, vice president of marketing and product management for Datacard Group.
It makes it possible to have new or replacement smart cards in customers’ hands just minutes after they walk into a branch bank location.
