Veeam has integrated Oracle in its Availability Suite v9, specifically designed for the modern data centre.
The Explorer application for Oracle has transaction-level and image-based Automatic Storage Management (ASM) backup and recovery of Oracle databases, including agentless transaction log backup.
The company said the solution supports databases running on Windows and Linux-based servers, and is compatible with Oracle ASM.
Veeam has also introduced additional enterprise-level enhancements for Veeam Explorers for Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint and SQL Server.
The firm said the update for Microsoft enterprise applications allows restores of Group Policy Objects, integrated DNS records and configuration partition objects with Veeam Explorer for Microsoft Active Directory.
It also added full-site and site collection restores with Explorer for Microsoft SharePoint, and table-level restores with Veeam Explorer for Microsoft SQL Server.
Ratmir Timashev, CEO at Veeam, said: "Enterprises cannot afford downtime and while nothing is 100 percent reliable, these users demand that applications and data are back online within minutes; every moment of inactivity costs money."
