The six-site IP VPN serves Ascentium’s headquarters and data center locations in Bellevue, Washingtom, as well as its strategic offices located in Spokane, Seattle, Portland, Baltimore and Los Angeles.
According to tw telecom, it also installed two 100Mbps ethernet connections to support data center activities and make available shared network assets at its headquarters and data center locations. Additionally, Ascentium has a 50Mbps ethernet- based internet service at Ascentium’s headquarters location and the company deployed local and long distance voices services from tw telecom.
Brian Jester, director of IT for Ascentium, said: We have six locations across the country that requires high-bandwidth capabilities for the production and the delivery of our customers’ campaigns. Although, some of our locations could easily access the tw telecom network, they also built fiber into a key location so that we could have a complete network solution.
Earlier in August 2008, tw telecom announced the installation of a 14-site IP VPN service for Pacific Plumbing Supply Company of Seattle. The company distributes wholesale plumbing supplies to retail and commercial customers in Washington State, Hawaii and Alaska.
