Guardian Software Solutions has launched a downloadable tool, YourSpy, to view the history of websites visited on a particular PC.

While some may find this sort of software ethically questionable, Andy Felton, director at Guardian Software Solutions, said: “Cheating on the internet is on the increase – easy entry to dating, social networking and reunion sites, as well as chat rooms, and free email accounts makes it all too simple for a partner to stray. Damage occurs when one partner suspects that something is amiss. YourSpy was developed to give a partner a quick, reliable and affordable answer to their suspicions.”

Installed on a computer, YourSpy records every website visited by the user and secretly stores a copy of it. This ensures that the record of visited websites is available even after the user deletes the history.

Available for £29.99, YourSpy copies and saves all online conversations. It records IM conversations from MSN, Yahoo Messenger, AOL’s AIM and ICQ.

YourSpy also keeps a copy of all emails sent and received from a PC through Outlook or Outlook Express. YourSpy’s keystrokes function decrypts web-based email programmes.

The tool can be downloaded from www.yourspy.co.uk. YourSpy works with PCs operating Windows XP and Windows Vista.

According to Guardian, YourSpy is aimed at people who suspect their partners to be two-timing on the web. They can discreetly install the tool on the PC and keep a track of their partners’ online activities.

YourSpy joins a suite of monitoring tools developed by Guardian. The tools in the kit include The-Babysitter, which helps parents monitor the online activities and conversations of their children.
