Toshiba America Information Systems has unveiled its new Unified Communications Suite, which bundles the company’s unified communications (UC) applications in a single software package. All applications in the Unified Communications Suite run on Toshiba’s Media Application Server.

The new Unified Communications Suite includes applications including: Presence and Instant Messaging, which enables to view the status of other users; Outbound Dialing from any application, which enables users to launch electronic documents and web pages directly from the Net Phone call manager interface; Desktop Call Control from your PC, which combines desktop and telephone capabilities to dial, answer and transfer calls.

In addition, it also includes CRM Integration and Screen-pops, which enables call-answering personnel to know which customer is calling; One Number Access, which enables incoming calls ring at the user’s desk telephone and mobile phone simultaneously; Off-premise Call Forwarding, which enables to automatically forward the incoming calls.

Few other features are Personal Call Handling, Fixed Mobile Convergence, Video Conferencing and Collaboration, and Unified Messaging.

Brian Metherell, VP and GM for Toshiba Information Systems, Telecommunication Systems division, said: “With Toshiba’s Unified Communications Suite, our customers can be assured that they are getting the best possible price and significantly simplifying the process of deployment and management of a single unified communications solution.”
