Tata Communications, a provider of global communications services, and Videotron, Canada’s integrated communications firm, have signed a sourcing agreement that allows Tata Communications to become Videotron’s sole provider of international voice termination.
Under this agreement, Videotron will route all its international voice traffic through Tata Communications network.
Videotron will leverage on Tata Communications advanced voice traffic management tools to provide quality international calls at competitive rates and manage operational costs.
In addition, Videotron will also continue to be one of Tata Communications’ key suppliers of telecommunication services in Canada.
Tata Communications global voice solutions president Michel Guyot said they were proud to become Videotron’s sole provider for international voice termination and benefit from Videotron’s strengths in the Canadian marketplace.
"Our flexible partnership model has made this strategic sourcing agreement with Videotron possible and the offerings that we offer allow our customers to become more competitive in their regions by reducing costs, streamlining operations and improving service quality," Guyot said.
Further, the flexible partnership includes route outsourcing and infrastructure sharing that will enable Videotron to grow their voice revenues while reducing capital commitments to traffic management platforms, back-office capabilities and next-generation IP networks.
