T-Systems, an arm of Deutsche Telekom, and Alcatel-Lucent have concluded a global framework agreement under which Alcatel-Lucent is providing T-Systems and Deutsche Telekom with convergent communications services from its enterprise portfolio. This framework agreement replaces and expands previous non-global agreements.

According to Alcatel-Lucent, this agreement will make it even easier for T-Systems and the business customer branch of Deutsche Telekom (DT), to supply their large enterprise customers and business customers, with IP solutions for voice and data networking.

All business units of DT, including its affiliates worldwide will now have direct access to Alcatel-Lucent’s enterprise services. The international affiliates are expected to also profit from Alcatel-Lucent´s managed services offer.

Klaus Werner, CFO from T-Systems, said: We are looking forward to supply our customers even easier and quicker than in the past with convergent enterprise solutions. We can do that because we got a much quicker access to Alcatel-Lucent’s portfolio. Global access and an easy ordering process are supporting our services commitment. Moreover, we can now offer our international enterprise customers managed services as a cost model.

Alf Wulf, chairman of the board at Alcatel-Lucent in Germany, said: The conclusion of this new, now globally valid framework agreement with T-Systems underlines the strategic cooperation of both companies. For us, this collaboration is a milestone in our continued close cooperation and promises to have a positive influence on the international growth of both companies.
