Strategic Products and Services (SPS) and voice and data technology offerings provider Consultedge, have signed a letter of Intent to merge the two companies for providing value-added offerings and services that address client needs.

SPS said that this merger will enable it to leverage the sales and technical talent within Consultedge, and to expand its market presence, increase competencies, strengthen vendor relations and to enhance service offerings to clients globally.

The company said that both the firms specialise in the design, installation and support of converged network infrastructure, advanced IP telephony applications, unified communication and mobility offerings.

Neal Stanton, president, founder and CEO of Consultedge, said: "Consultedge has been providing converged telephony offerings over ten years. We see this intended merger as a strategic evolution that will enable us to take our customers to the next level of integrated offerings and support offers.

"In addition to strengthening our vendor partnerships, we will gain access to highly specialised engineers, a 24×7 network operations centre support and global resources to support our clients."
