Following its success with BT, The Motion Picture Association (MPA) has asked other major Internet service providers (ISPs) including Virgin Media, Sky and TalkTalk to block access to Newzbin2.
While TalkTalk is said to be "considering its response," Sky and Virgin Media have agreed to obey court orders.
A spokesperson for Virgin Media has said, "As a responsible ISP, we will comply with any court order addressed to us but strongly believe such deterrents need to be accompanied by compelling legal alternatives."
A spokesperson for Sky said that the firm will be likely to accede to the request more readily if it is given the necessary encouragement.
Andrew Heaney, head of regulatory affairs at TalkTalk, has reportedly said, "There are some elements of the order, for instance that we have to pay the costs of implementing it, that we think are inappropriate."
According to BT, it has estimated to have lost £5,000 to set up the block against Newzbin.
