Smart mobile networking company Ruckus Wireless has teamed up with Bradford Networks to combine Adaptive Network Security (ANS) capabilities with Ruckus ZoneFlex ‘Smart Wi-Fi’ products and technology.

In addition, Bradford has joined the Ruckus Interoperability and Open Testing (RIOT) program, a joint development and interoperability program specifically designed to ensure seamless operation between third-party systems and Ruckus. As part of this joint partnership, Ruckus ZoneFlex Smart Wi-Fi products have completed interoperability testing with Bradford’s ANS offering, Network Sentry.

Ruckus Wireless claims that the combined offering lets enterprise customers better protect their wireless LANs (WLANs) by setting policies for how different user groups such as employees, students and guests, are provided network access.

Bart Burstein, vice president of product management and business development for Ruckus Wireless, said: "With Bradford, we’re now bringing a complete set of user authentication, device compliance and secure access policy enforcement to an entirely new generation of smarter Wi-Fi systems.

"The combination of our technologies gives enterprises greater control and peace of mind when it comes to granting network access to guests and other users, and keeping critical information secure."
