Research In Motion (RIM) has released BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) version 6, which provides support for BBM connected applications, to let users easily interact with each other from within the BBM connected application.

Already available on BlackBerry App World, the latest update to the company’s BlackBerry Messaging service, offers users the ability to interact with their friends from within the application itself.

BlackBerry Messenger 6 is available for download from BlackBerry App World and features a messaging service, with which users will be able to share whatever they want in real time.

The functionality will enhance social experience for BlackBerry smartphone users, and offers an opportunity for developers to leverage the viral nature of the BBM service, the company said.

Blackberry users can share new BBM connected application experiences with friends, and can instantly let their friends know about it.

Users can directly invite friends from their BBM contact list to the BBM connected appliaction and start chatting in real-time.

Users can also discover new applications by viewing the list of applications that are posted to a BBM friend’s profile and can also click on an application within the list.

The new offering has been integrated into several applications including Forsquare, ScoreMobile, Pocket Ants, Huffington Post, PowWow, Placar UOL, Menoo, Photo Booth, Navita Sports, Navita Translator and many others, and will be integrated into more applications in the future.
