Telecommunication and wireless equipment company Research In Motion (RIM) has opened a new developer tech centre for BlackBerry 10 developers in Slough, UK at its EMEA headquarters.
The BlackBerry Tech Centre is expected to provide expertise and guidance to the developers those who are working on to create applications for BlackBerry 10.
Each day of the week will have a specific focus, allowing developers to attend on a day that will provide support required by the teams.
On Mondays, the BlackBerry developer evangelist team will help the attending developers with Native/Cascades/Qt, while on Wednesdays they provide guidance for developing with BlackBerry WebWorks and HTML 5.
Meanwhile, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, the developer evangelist team will help Android, iOS and Windows developers bring their respective apps to the new BlackBerry 10 platform.
RIM said the tech centre will also provide for a collaborative forum for developers to share experiences related to working on BlackBerry 10.
RIM Developer Relations vice president Alec Saunders said the opening of the first BlackBerry Tech Centre is part of company’s commitment to actively engage with and support the efforts of our developer community.
"This new centre in our EMEA headquarters designates space where developers can draw on the resources and skill set of our experienced developer evangelist team to help them create compelling apps for the new BlackBerry 10 platform,"Saunders said.
