Premiere Global Services, a provider of on-demand, applied communication technologies, has launched PGiCOS email, a web services-based email delivery platform positioned as a SaaS-based alternative for high volume email senders.

The company claimed that the new offering allows integration with the PGi Communications Operating System to enable business rules for trigger transactions. As a cloud-based product with enhanced disaster recover capabilities, security settings and real-time results streamed or in batch, PGiCOS email is said to run with five-nines uptime since its creation in early 2009.

PGiCOS email is the on-demand alternative to premise-based email deployments and it reportedly empowers the mailers with full control along with enhanced deliverability tools and improved support.

The new product is said to offer an API that can optimise the transmission of broadcasts and marketing campaigns and handle individual or small batch transactions. According to the company, built on APIs, PGiCOS email distributes traffic over multiple facilities with hot-hot failover, and it contains deliverability controls like fine grain throttling per customer per ISP and automated throttling based on real-time calculation of bounce, click and feedback loop data.

Recently, the company noted that it has released its PGi component for Adobe LiveCycle Enterprise Suite that integrates into the Premiere Global Communications Operating System (PGiCOS), an on-demand multi-modal communications platform. The company said that the new component enables enterprises to embed PGiCOS SMS notifications, fax document delivery and trackable e-mail into workflows using LiveCycle Workbench’s intuitive process designer interface.

The PGi component is said to integrate communications technologies into commercial business systems using open APIs without the requirement of hardware or development resource. Earlier, the company has released PGiSend Fax2Mail application integrated with Adobe PDF scanning technology which is licensed from Adobe Systems.

PGi Communications Operating System supports business applications within the following product sets: PGiMeet, PGiSend, PGiNotify and PgiMarket.
