NavCom Technology, a subsidiary of Deere & Company, has released the SF-3050 multi-frequency GNSS receiver with its new Sapphire GNSS OEM board. The new receiver and OEM board provide 66-channel tracking with multi-constellation support for GPS, GLONASS and Galileo. Reportedly, the new products also offer integrated StarFire/RTK GNSS capabilities.

The SF-3050 and Sapphire offer GNSS receiver sensitivity and signal tracking as well as patented multi-path mitigation, interference rejection and anti-jamming capabilities, while supporting a range of high-speed I/O, including Ethernet, Bluetooth and USB capabilities.

The SF-3050 is an upgradeable GNSS receiver, allowing the receiver to upgrade from single frequency to multi-frequency through software optioning alone. The software enabled features are sold in software bundles, but can also be purchased individually, to suit changing application needs, the company said.

According to the company, Integrated StarFire is activated via an Over the Air licensing system that sends a StarFire License via satellite directly to the StarFire capable receiver from the company’s StarFire operations centre. The company claims that StarFire, its Global Satellite Based Augmentation System (SBAS), provides real-time global decimetre accuracy without a base station.

Steve Wilson, GNSS products business manager at NavCom, said: “With the release of our new GNSS products, the SF-3050 and Sapphire, NavCom continues to innovate to meet our customers’ ever-changing needs. The ability to upgrade our GNSS products with software options will save our customers costly hardware changes, while the Over the Air StarFire Licensing System allows them to quickly renew their StarFire License in the field.”
