Mochila, a content syndication technology platform and network, and AnchorFree, an ad-supported virtual private network, have entered into a partnership to deliver news and feature content to the consumers around the world who access AnchorFree’s Hotspot Shield each month for online security and privacy.

Hotspot Shield is a free ad-supported VPN (Virtual Private Network) that ensures its users privacy and security online. In partnering with Mochila, the consumers will have access to a selected set of updated articles, photos and video through Mochila’s content syndication network, the company said.

The content will reportedly be packaged into themed sections designed to create a contextual user experience. Categories will include technology, business, travel, food, automotive and weather. Technology content will be supplied by previously announced Mochila partner IDG.

Financial content will be supplied by Investor’s Business Daily, the publisher of financial news geared to personal and professional investors.
