Mentor Graphics, a provider of electronic design automation and embedded software offerings, has entered into a collaborative agreement with NetLogic Microsystems, a provider of semiconductor offerings.
Under the agreement, Mentor Graphics Embedded Software Division will provide its Linux technology on NetLogic Microsystems’ XLP, XLR and XLS processors. NetLogic Microsystems will provide the Mentor-developed Linux offering to multi-core developers to enable them to create applications for multi-core processors targeted at enterprise, telecom and data centre networks.
The Mentor Graphics Embedded Software Division comprises the Mentor Embedded family of products and services, including embedded software intellectual property (IP), tools and consulting services to help embedded developers and silicon partners optimise their products for design and cost efficiency.
