Chip maker Intel and Russian mobile operator MegaFon have partnered to release a high-performance smartphone, MegaFon Mint, in Russia.
The new device is based on Intel’s Smartphone Reference Device, which includes the Intel Atom processor Z2460 with Intel Hyper-Threading Technology and HSPA+ Intel XMM 6260 platform.
These Intel applications will offer enhanced data download speeds, user experience, while maintaining a battery life up to 5 hours of 3G browsing, 45 hours of audio playback and 8 hours of talk time on a single charge.
Both the companies have worked together to customise the Android-based smartphone that includes different MegaFon applications and services.
MegaFon Mint features a 4.03-inch high-resolution LCD touchscreen, 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Processor, 400 MHz graphics clock and support for full 1080p HD video.
It also includes an 8-megapixel camera delivering advanced imaging capabilities that includes burst mode to take 10 pictures in under a second.
