Italian telecommunications provider FASTWEB has signed a seven-year managed services contract with Ericsson to transform and manage its data centre as well as operate its IT infrastructure.
The new contract will enable FASTWEB to introduce advanced IT architecture, technology and also benefit from increased automation, with a lower environmental impact, enhanced flexibility, capacity and evolved services capabilities.
Ericsson’s managed services contract covers consulting and systems integration, transformation, management and maintenance of FASTWEB’s Data Center.
Using Ericsson’s consulting and systems integration services, through hardware transformation, FASTWEB’s two data centres will be consolidated. This allows FASTWEB to use its IT infrastructure efficiently, enhance its time to market and to lower its environmental footprint.
