The UK Banking, Insurance and Finance Union reports that some of its staff at Lloyds Bank Plc’s computer centre had started industrial action in protest over new shift arrangements: More than 70 BIFU members in Lloyds’ data centre operations in London have started a ban on overtime and a work-to-rule in protest at the bank imposing new shift arrangements which mean staff working more weekends for less money, the bank workers union said; Lloyds said it did not expect the action would have any impact on services to customers, and points out that the computer centre, hard by the River Thames in the lea of Blackfriars Bridge, employs over 100.
