IBM is providing its technology to Wimbledon 2014 to improve the way the fans access and interact with championship news and court side action, to make them even more engaging.

The company has enhanced interactive mobile experience; redesigned the SlamTracker analytics to boost engagement; and delivered its SoftLayer cloud platform to a new Social Command Centre.

IBM has revamped the Official Wimbledon iPhone and Android apps and added new features to the iPad app to deliver comprehensive mobile coverage in these platforms.

New features in the apps will help the users in easily accessing live scores, results, news, live blog, photos, live video and radio, video highlights.

The new features in the app will also allow personalisation so that users can get their desired information.

IBM has also enhanced the SlamTracker analytics platform which claimed to improve engagement with fans while providing better insights.

SlamTracker banks on historical and real-time data to provide ‘Keys to the Match’ predictive analytics identifying three performance indicators that are likely affect a player’s performance.

IBM SoftLayer cloud technology powered Wimbledon Social Command Centre promises to boost fan experience by providing insights into current and evolving social media conversations taking place on and off the court.
