According to the company, using its VideoEngine Mobile, wireless carriers, application developers and mobile handset manufacturers can provide high-quality video calls, even under adverse network conditions.

The company has partnered with Marvell Technology to ensure its media processing software provides advance mobile phone features on the Marvell chipset and to optimize it for the XScale PXA310 devices including the Hewlett-Packard iPAQ series, Samsung’s SGH-i780 and Gigabyte’s GSmart MS808.
Future releases of VideoEngine Mobile will also support other mobile platforms including Symbian and Apple’s iPhone, as well as additional hardware platforms for Windows Mobile, said Global IP Solutions.

In September 2008, the company announced that Mail.Ru, a web portal of the Russian Internet, will use GIPS’ VoIP technology in its Mail.Ru Agent. As part of the agreement, GIPS’ VoiceEngine will be embedded inside the Mail.Ru Agent, starting with version 5.2 allowing affordable calls to stationary and mobile phones.
