SSE Enterprise Telecoms has today announced the integration of sister SSE Enterprise Datacom into the Telecoms business.

The move will provide end-to-end connectivity solutions and a joined up service for customers with desktop to data centre optical connectivity solutions.

SSE Enterprise Datacom offers costumers design, installation and maintenance of in-building and campus-wide data cabling solutions. The company also undertakes civil engineering works for the construction of private fibre networks for Telecoms clients.

SSE Enterprise Telecoms provides customer buildings throughout the UK with high performance, high availability data connectivity services.

With the creation a single business unit, the business units, part of the SSE Group, aim to answer the demand for high performance connectivity solutions and services both within and between clients’ sites.

Colin Sempill, managing director of SSE Enterprise Telecoms, said: "We’re pleased to announce the integration of these two key business units. As our optical networking business with demanding blue chip and public sector customers grows, bringing the network build capabilities of the Datacom team together with the network operation capabilities of the Telecoms team, just makes good sense.

"The changes will gradually come into effect over the next few months and we’ll keep our customers informed as things progress, but we don’t expect there to be any disruption.

Ultimately, our aim is to continue to provide our customers with excellent customer service and an even wider portfolio of world-class connectivity products and services."
