Independent technology solutions provider SCC has today announced it had entered Data Telecoms following its investment in Fluidata Investment.
The new venture will add additional connectivity and capability to Data Centre Services.
The enterprise expanded its Midlands facilities after buying SSE Telecoms’ flagship Tier 3+ Data Centre in Hampshire earlier this year.
After securing several costumers including Gist, Aggregate Industries, BOC, IBM, Oxfordshire County Council, CAA and Highways Agency, SCC experienced a growth of 69% from Data Centre and Cloud services in 2014.
The Data Delivery Network, Fluidata, delivers high speed data connectivity solutions to the corporate industry and public sectors. It uses technologies like DSL, EFM, Fibre, VPLS/MPLS, Wireless and unique failover/aggregation technology to focus in Layer-2 and Layer-3 delivery.
James Rigby, Chief Executive of SCC, said: "Fluidata positions SCC at the forefront of Data Centre Services, adding further connectivity and flexibility to our customers.
"In addition, this investment provides SCC with access to the Data Telecoms Market, widening SCC’s DCS proposition."
Piers Daniell, Managing Director of Fluidata, said: "Aligning our business with SCC increases our overall service offering and expands our Data Centre capability while making the most of our diverse connectivity offering.
"SCC’s pedigree, leading position and IT portfolio provides our customers with more choice and value. It’s a great match for everyone."
