EMOBILE, Japan-based mobile broadband operator, has awarded managed services contract to Ericsson to enhance its network with 42Mbps HSPA technology.

Under the agreement, Ericsson will supply 42Mbps HSPA functionality to Japan’s metropolitan areas including: Kanto, Tokai and Kinki.

EMOBILE representative director and president Eric Gan said Ericsson’s HSPA technology provides them with the quickest, innovative, and advanced mobile broadband network that satisfies their customers by providing a true mobile broadband experience.

Ericsson Japan president Fredrik Alatalo said with the company’s global scale and experience, and proven tools, methods and processes, they aim to improve the efficiency in EMOBILE’s networks, for the benefit of their subscribers.
