Emerson’s new transformer-free, monolithic Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) unit Liebert 80-eXL has been introduced in EMEA.

The company said the solution can be deployed in medium-to-large data centres and other industries, such as financial services, healthcare and manufacturing.

The manufacturer added that the unit is available from 160 to 500 kW and is compatible with the 80-NET. It can also be connected up to eight units in parallel.

Emerson highlighted that the 80-eXL solution offers conversion efficiency of up to 97% and up to 99% in ECO mode as well as optimised efficiency at partial load, which also reduces total cost of ownership (TCO) and CO2 emissions.

Giovanni Zanei, product-marketing director at Power Systems for Emerson EMEA, said: "We have designed this unit to lower energy consumption and keep heat loss to a minimum. With the double conversion efficiency of up to 97% we are able to offer customers further reductions in operating costs, while also saving over 950 tonnes of CO2 per unit, every year.

"The Liebert 80-eXL has been developed specifically to address these industry issues, providing organisations with guaranteed availability, exceptional efficiency levels and the peace of mind they demand."
