EMC has unveiled various choices for Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 environments including business continuity/disaster recovery offerings, networked storage technologies, and consulting services.
EMC said that it continues its engineering work with Microsoft to help customers extend the value of their investment in Microsoft Exchange Server, by utilising available APIs in Exchange Server 2010 to achieve service levels at the information infrastructure level.
According to EMC, the new offerings include replication enabler for Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 that supports EMC RecoverPoint Continuous Replication and EMC MirrorView Remote Synch replication; AutoStart that provides application infrastructure monitoring and automated restart for Exchange Server 2010 and other environments on platforms including EMC Symmetrix and EMC CLARiiON.
In addition, the new offerings also include EMC Replication Manager that creates, mounts, and restores application consistent point-in-time replicas of databases residing on EMC storage arrays. It includes support of Exchange 2010 in standlone and native DAG environments.
The company claims that its networked storage systems EMC CLARiiON, Celerra and Symmetrix allows customers lower total cost of ownership, reduce energy costs and data centre footprint, simplify management and ensure to meet requirements for performance.
