D+S communication center management (D+S CCM), a provider of solutions for customer contact management, has entered into an IT-outsourcing partnership with Atos Origin.

Under the terms of the 10-year agreement, 50 employees will be transferred from D+S solutions to the international IT service provider Atos Origin.

The services covered by the outsourcing agreement include data centre and infrastructure operations and network and desktop services.

Atos Origin will also be responsible for application management.

D+S ccm CEO Mario Bethune-Steck said by fully outsourcing their IT to Atos Origin, they are pursuing three objectives.

"We are looking to make our IT fit for the future, while increasing performance and flexibility. At the same time we need to ensure that we meet the stringent compliance requirements within our industry," Bethune-Steck said.

Atos Origin CEO for Germany & CEMA Winfried Holz said the communications industry is extremely fast-moving. In the negotiation phase, Atos Origin wanted to show that they will be a flexible, quick and reliable service provider for D+S in future.

"We can also offer the necessary experience in the field of compliance management," Holz said.
