DingIt.tv has secured $1.5 million in follow-on seed funding from Black Green Capital.
The real-time broadcasting platform will use the new funds to expand and support its growth, allowing DingIt to target a wider range of broadcasters and advertisers to grow its market position.
As part of the deal, Black Green Capital CEO David Rowe will join the company as Chairman.
DingIt’s proprietary platform claims to offer higher quality streaming for live streams and Video-on-Demand. The service offers 1080p, 60fps, as well as latency below 5 seconds. The advertising management platform is integrated into the broadcasting technology and adverts can be placed during organic breaks as opposed to atpre-set times.
DingIt is the latest recipient of funding from the London-based Black Green Capital. The venture capital fund has invested in several businesses in the digital market. These include Hydro66, a green data centre, as well as virtual reality gaming platform Virtuix and wholesale Bitcoin mining company Megamine.
Mark Hain, CEO and founder of DingIt, commented: "Black Green Capital share our vision of the future of DingIt’s disruptive broadcast streaming technology and unique online ad model, and are bringing both the financial backing as well as their own entrepreneurial skill set that will help drive our success.
"I am therefore delighted to welcome Black Green Capital’s CEO David Rowe to join us as Chair. David has an exceptional track record in growing technology companies and will play a key role in helping to guide DingIt as it continues its global rollout."
David Rowe, CEO of Black Green Capital added: "Dingit.tv is a very exciting company with a highly disruptive technology platform which adds value to the customer experience and enables broadcasters and advertisers to enhance their commercial returns.
Rowe continued: "eSports is breaking all records in terms of growth and viewing numbers and we are delighted to be participating in what we believe will be the premier go-to platform for delivering real-time, live eSport events."
