Dell has launched an enhanced application which is optimised for SAP HANA platform that is claimed to help customers to deploy the company’s server, storage and networking systems running SAP HANA.

The company has also released Active System Manager 7.0, the management layer for Active System, which is Dell’s converged infrastructure offering, that integrates IP from Gale Technologies which it acquired recently.

The new application has received SAP certification, and allows usage of combined services of the Dell servers, Dell storage and Dell networking technologies on an SAP platform that ranges between 1 terabyte to over 4 terabytes.

Active System Manager 7.0 was developed by the company with the recently acquired Gale Technologies to increase the management capabilities of Active System to the virtualised infrastructure and workloads.

The manager will be embedded into the Active System 800 and related reference design.

The application also offers users the ability to further optimise SAP application workloads, simplify ordering and speed deployment, provide enterprise-class operation and performance, reduce time to value, and ensure a simplified, cost-effective upgrade path – according to Dell.
