El Segundo, California-based Computer Sciences Corp has won a $55m seven-year facilities management contract with three additional one-year options from American Medical Response: Computer Sciences, will develop and maintain a system and national network that will manage the company’s claims processing, billing and receivables operations, and enable American Medical to move data from dozens of independent proprietary systems to a national Unix-based system – no word on what is being used – enabling the company to track and manage its billing operations more efficiently; Computer Sciences will also provide programming support for future enhancements, plus network management, help-desk support and high-volume invoice printing and mailing at its Logic data centre in Dallas.
